There are 2 this week... one of each of the kids. Early this week we had some snow (enough to cover the ground and last over night)... next days to follow were blue skies. Gotta love the sunshine!

Complete Set
Something I noticed about Zachary the other day, was that he likes everything to be a complete set. When he gets a toy from McDonalds, it is usually a character from the newest kids movie. So when he gets one, he thinks he should have the others. He has some large and small characters from the Movie Toy Story and since he has seen the sequel 'Toy Store 2", he seems to think he needs the cow girl doll. He has almost every character from 'Cars', but when he sees another one he thinks he needs it to compete the set. I think it is really quite sweet. Even when we were out at a friends for a play date he found a couple of characters from a show he watches. He found 2 out of the 3 characters and wondered where the third was. I believe he feels this way because of our family. We are a complete set! And are always together. He sees this with all our families. When he sees Omama, he knows that Opapa and Ginger should be there too. Completely happy, is our family thanks to all the love.

Lil'fishy
Zachary has been in swimming lessons since he was only a few months old. He has come a long way. When he started the lessons on his own he did not like to put his face in the water, and now he can swim with his face in. He currently has lessons twice a week and loves every minute. Before we know it he will be swimming lengths in the big pool.
A Child's View of Thunderstorms
I had received this in an email from Omama....
A Child's View of Thunderstorms

A little girl walked to and from school daily.
Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to school.
As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with lightning.
The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school. She also feared the electrical storm might harm her child.
Full of concern, the mother got into her car and quickly drove along the route to her child's school.
As she did, she saw her little girl walking along.
At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile.
More lighting followed quickly and with each, the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile.
When the mother drew up beside the child, she lowered the window and called, 'What are you doing?'
The child answered, 'I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture.'
May God bless you today and everyday as you face the storms that come your way!

Bonne Fete Annick
Today is Annick's birthday. Annick was Zachary's caregiver from the time is was a year old until last May when Jonas was born. Annick has become a good friend of mine. I give her a lot of credit for who Zachary is today. She is an amazing woman and the greatest caregiver. She loves Zachary like he is one of her own. Her daughter Olivia is the same age as Zachary, and their friendship started before they were even walking. They will be best friends for years to come. I couldn't have asked for a better person to teach and love my son. In honour of her birthday Zachary and I made her some cupcakes. We then surprised her with them today. It is always nice to visit and spend time with her.

Jr. Photographer
Monkey see monkey do. Zachary a great photographer and comes by it honestly. In my family there are a few who enjoy taking pictures. And it is hard for me not to take pictures of the kids. This is what happened one evening when I wasn't looking Zachary pick up my camera and started to take pictures of Jonas. Both of them were having a blast I just had to catch it.
Sweetheart
Zachary is such a sweet little boy.
On the way into the grocery store this weekend he made a cute comment. There are bunches of flower bouquets, and as he walked by them he said "Here Mom I want to get you some flowers."
Another cute comment was when he asked me a question...
"Mom what is your favorite idea?"
"Hmm not sure sweety... whats your favorite idea?" I asked him.
"Um.. Jonas." He replied.
"Yes that is my favorite idea too Zack."
Jonas really was a great idea and I think we are all glad we made that one. :)

Hardest Game
One afternoon as I was working hard on the computer Zachary climbed up onto my lap. It was kinda nice to have some company. I decided to take a little break and play a game with Zack. He had been getting up in my face so I thought a funny game would be to stare at each other and see who could keep a straight face the longest. Well this was the hardest game because we couldn't stop laughing long enough to start the game. Man I love that kid... and his laughter is the greatest sound!
