Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!
The best thing a man can do for his children, is to love their mother.
1 John 3:18
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
Children need to see both parents treating each other with love, dignity and respect. This is how they learn what to expect, and what to reject, in their own love affairs. I know what love is because my parents loved each other. They showed their love for one another, and truly expressed the deep love they had for us, their children. You can see their love through the happy marriages we have today.
I am truly blessed to have parents celebrating another year happily married to each other. It is rare today to have a marriage last as long as theirs. My mother has been with my father longer than she was without.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Getting married is easy.
Staying married, is very difficult.
Staying happily married for a life-time should rank among the fine arts!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad, and thank you for showing me the fruit of the Holy Spirit through your love. It is a blessing to have loving parents like you.
Here’s wishing you many more years of wedded bliss… for better, or for worse!
