Zack Quote

Today Auntie Jo came to town.  While Jo and I were looking at her trip pictures on her computer Zachary said...

"Mom... Auntie Jo... Mom..."
"Yes Zachary..."
"You guys have the same face."

Zachary and Olivia

This morning the boys and I drove over the bridge to pick up Zachary's best friend Olivia.  Zachary and Olivia have been friends since before they were one.  Zachary and Olivia saw each other every day for about 2 years.  They don't see each other much now that we have moved out to Langley (we used to by only a few blocks away in Burnaby).  Since it is hard for Annick and I to find some time to get the kids together, I thought it would be fun for Olivia to come to our home for a short visit.  I have to say it was so nice having a little girl in the house... what a difference.
The kids had a great morning.  They played a bunch of different games, and Zack was thrilled to have someone over and show her around.  I think he really enjoyed her on his turf for a change.  He shower her how to play computer games and we also checked out the small park in our complex, and then we had some lunch.  Following lunch the kids and I walked to Zachary's school to drop him off.  It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to be outside.  Then I brought Olivia back to her home.  Hopefully she can come back again soon.

They are so cute together

Whatever one did the other would do too.  Its great to have a friend like Olivia and Zack.

One Great Team

Well today the kids and I brought Oma and Papa to the airport... sniff sniff.  It was the best west coast visit yet.  We had some wonderful weather, amazing meals, and the greatest company.  It is really hard living so far apart but we are always so close in heart.  I think the visits we have are that much more meaningful since they are not as often as we would like.
Thank you Mom and Dad for coming to spend time with us at our home, you are always welcome with open arms!  Thank you for everything!

♥ Love always and forever Laughter ♥

Tulips with Oma

My mother and I, with Jonas, took a little day trip over the border into Bellingham WA to see the tulips fields.  We were a few days early for full bloom, but they sure were beautiful!  It really was a wonderful girls day out (with Jonas).  Tulips are our favorite flower and it was such a delight to share this adventure with my mommy and my little baby.  What a great day!

a couple of my pics...

Family Celebrity

We have a free daily paper called '24'.  They are found just about every where in Vancouver.  You will often see quite a few people reading the '24' on transit, they are handed out at all skytrain stations.  Scott was in attendance for game 1 Canucks vs Blues.  He and his good friend Darcy had on their jerseys and were "SUITED UP" game ready. Scott says it was Legendary! They managed to get in front of a camera and now have their faces all over the greater Vancouver area.  My celeb! Here is the cover of April 17th issue...

On top of the world

We are thrilled to have my parents (Oma and Papa) here to visit.  Since they haven't been to Whistler in a long long time, we thought it would be nice to check out the setting for the 2010 Olympic games.  We drove up to Whistler and stayed the night in a little 2 bedroom apartment.  The weather couldn't have been better.  It was sunny, warm and absolutely breathtaking! We took a gondola up Whistler mountain and then rode Peak to Peak, from Whistler Mountain to Blackcomb Mountain and back.  It was amazing!

Pre-school Egg Hunt

On Wednesday at Discovery Station Pre-school (where Zachary attends Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays) they had the final of 4 Easter stories... the best story of all.  The children learnt that the tomb where Jesus was laid to rest was empty, he had risen.  After the wonderful lesson they went outside to find some colorful eggs hidden amongst the grassy field.

Ready....

GO!!

Yahooooo

Back inside for some treats

Each of the children dumped their findings into the big bucket and showed off their basket.  Then they got to pick a chocolate treat and 3 chocolate kisses.

Who me?

The reason I picked up the camera was while Jonas was looking through,  he would have his sweet little face pressed up against the glass.  It was so funny to watch him make faces and see his little grin pressed up on the glass.
Goofy baby.
