"When I grow up..."

Zachary came to work with me early today to take a flight with Andrea (Scott's cousin who has been our babysitter for the last few months) to go to Sechelt*. In the car on the way Zachary's sweet little voice from the back said "Mommy... know what I want to be when I grow up?"
He started to list off a few things, first with race car driver, then rescue guy... so I asked "like a fireman?". So along with race car driver, fire/rescue guy, scoop driver (scoop is a character from Bob the Builder... an excavator) he would also like to be a house builder. I asked him if he would like to build homes for those who do not have homes.
"You tell me who needs a house and I will come build it for them." he replied.
I love that most of what he wants to do involves helping others. He is going to grow up to do some amazing things, I can see it in his eyes.

*Andrea and her fiance Zack live in Sechelt. Sechelt is a small town along the sunshine coast of beautiful British Columbia. I highly recommend that if you are in or around the Vancouver area to check it out.

Picture of the Week

While on the beach we searched for heart shaped rocks. We found a few, but it was quite a fun game :)

Jonas keeping cool

Jonas loves to climb up on everything.  Zachary was never a climber, so this is kinda new.  He loves to climb up on chairs.  He is such a cool dude ;)

Jonas is also known for 'the leg'.  He will try to get this leg out and up on everything.  It is how is get into and up onto things.

Water Balloons

The first (and yes Jonas is falling out of the pool behind Zachary)

What followed.

Zachary had held on to the second batch of water balloons (we were saving them for daddy's arrival at home after a long hot day at work), and started to line them up my legs that were cooling in the pool.
