Training Week

Off with the training wheels and on with some training pants.

The week Zachary started riding his bike without training wheels. He is so proud and excited to be riding a bike with two wheels. With Nanny out to visit, Jonas is out of diapers and into big boy pants. Here's hoping the potty training sticks once Nanny heads home.

Big week :)

Quote of the week!

At work one stressful day I get a call. The most beautiful excited voice on the other end says "Mommy I can ride a bike with 2 wheels!!!!"

I couldn't have asked for a better moment. Zachary was so excited and proud to be riding a bike without training wheels. It was the highlight of my day, and I think quite likely the week. It brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I don't think there is a better feeling than the feeling of shared joy with your child.

Luongo

Zachary drew this picture of Luongo standing in front of his net. Look closely and you will see his glove and blocker... stick and puck. You can see his pads, skates and mask. It is hard to see but he tried to draw the Canucks Orca logo. Even a Reebok logo low on his pad (just above his skate). On each shoulder you can see the 'stick n rink' Vancouver Canucks logo. He also included "Luongo" the #1 and the NHL logo.
When he first drew the picture Zachary was worried that Luongo looked tired, and he didn't want Luongo to be tired. I think the city of Vancouver would agree. We don't want Luongo to be tired either.

Moments and Memories

Zachary is sitting in the tub as it fills with water. I head down the stairs to check the score of the hockey game. As I am standing at the bottom of the stairs, I can hear Zack singing the national anthem. It reminds me of another of my favorite guys. My awesome little brother could be heard signing "Oh Canada" in the shower, all most everytime time. Ah, the memories :)
