Fire Safety

Jonas' preschool took a field trip to the Fort Langley Fire Hall.  They learnt what was safe and how to react when there is a fire - Stop... Drop... and roll.  The highlight was likely the trucks.

Cake Time

Jonas wanted to make a cake.  I tried to convince him cupcakes might be better, but he was set on a cake.  I asked him what colour icing we should make, and he wanted his favourite colour green.  We waited until we picked up Zachary from school and completed his homework.  Then they got into sprinkle decorating.

Bath Art

When Auntie Care and Baylee came to visit last spring they showed Jonas a fun way to have a bath.  Since I have an old muffin tin which is perfect for lots of different colours, I set Jonas up for bath art.  When Zachary saw what Jonas was doing, he quickly dropped his clothes and hopped in to join the fun.

Today's LOL

Everyday, a few times a day, the kids make me laugh.  So here is today's LOL.
I was in the kitchen starting on dinner with some music.  Jonas came in because he wanted something (possibly just my attention).  I was rocking out with my air guitar while Jonas called my name a few times.  This usually leads to him air guitar-ing, air drumming or air bass-ing with me.  Instead he walked up to me, took my air guitar and "rock star" smashed it on the floor.  I started to laugh and he looked at me straight faced and said "I broke your guitar mom, now come see something."

All for the beaters

Now that I am home with Jonas we try and bake every once and awhile.  He loves to be in the kitchen helping.  He likes to help measure, and add the ingredients.  But while the mixer is going he will continually ask "Can I taste it?  Can I taste it now?".

We love baking together, but I think he's only in for the beater (and spatula) licking.

"Switch"

Oma and I were Facetime-ing when Jonas wanted to show her his Playdoh.  It was hilarious for me to watch him try and show her colour by colour.  Jonas being Jonas, noticed a button on the screen which changed Oma's view (this made it much easier for him to show her the colours, since he could see what she was seeing).  This then lead to him showing her all kinds of things.  He would switch the view for her to see him and then I would hear "Switch" whenever he wanted to show her something else.

Jonas On Ice

It's that time of year - school, soccer, skating, swimming and so on.  Jonas just started skating lessons this year.  This video is his third lesson.  His balance is there, but he needs to work on confidence.

My Little Buddies

Easter I took the boys to a Winery in Langley to do an egg hunt in the afternoon.

While we were there a photographer was getting some wonderful exposer, and was set up to do mini sessions by donation.  I thought to myself - wine tasting or mini session???

I thought it would be a great opportunity to try out a local photographer and also get some photos of my and my little buddies.  It would have been wonderful if Scott had been able to join us, but I will take what I can get (he doesn't like being in front of a camera anyways).

We did an Easter Egg Hunt at Township 7 a local winery. We had so much fun!!

Fishing on the Fraser River

It was a beautiful day so Scott and I brought the boys to Derby Reach to do a little fishing. Didn't catch anything, but a few rays :). Got to love a little vitamin D.

More Jonas

One morning as I said "shoes and Jackets - it's time to go" Jonas came into the kitchen with a few of my things. He didn't want to go, he wanted to chill at home. I don't blame him, I'd love to do it too :)

Jonas

The boys were fighting over Zachary's toy. The toy is taken away.

Zachary "Thanks ALOT Jonas!"

Jonas "No, thank you!"

Jonas is the last one sitting at the table (same night). I told him he couldn't leave until he finishes. at 7:30 as I'm cleaning up around him, I say - if you don't finish, do you can eat it for breakfast.

Jonas - "Breakfast - yes I'll just eat it for breakfast."

Mom " you really want to eat cold old vegetables for breakfast?"

Jonas "yes. You said I could eat it for breakfast."

Nice try Jonas. I think he knows I'd likely just toss it (4 bites of potatoes and one cauliflower).

Birthday Baylee

Happy 2nd Birthday to a beautiful butterfly Baylee. Thank you for visiting us just before your birthday. Today is all about you. We love you more than you know. Congratulations to my Brother Mike and his amazing wife Care on 2 joyful years of parenthood - you are truly wonderful parents and when you look at Baylee it shows!
